Frequently asked questions
Can you sign my books before they are shipped?
This is probably the MOST frequently asked question that I get. If your order is sent directly from my warehouse in Michigan, which most orders are, the answer is no, because I live in Oregon. If you order a book that is damaged or from a non-current printing that is shipped from my home/office in Oregon, then yes, I will be happy to sign your books. I do not ship most orders from my home as I have a relatively small amount of inventory on hand and not much room to store what I have got. Besides, it would require shipping them to me and then to you, which is just not cost-effective not to mention not environmentally friendly.
Can I purchase damaged books at a discount?
Yes, if I have any copies of the title you want on hand. Damaged books ship only from my home/office in Oregon. To learn all about buying damaged books, click here.
Where can I find coupons to use in the shopping cart?
Check the homepage and the first shopping page for coupons.
Can you donate books to our worthy cause (non-profit clinic, school, etc.)?
It depends. I can only afford to donate a few books a year and therefore limit such donations to facilities in developing countries. Requests are handled on a first-come-first-served basis. If you have a charitable cause that is located in a developing country I will consider it, but ONLY if I can ship to a US address and you can then arrange to have someone hand-carry the books to your location. Shipping overseas and mail service in developing countries can be very unreliable. In addition, international shipping can cost a bundle of money and, for all those reasons, I am just unwilling and unable financially to donate books, spend a lot to ship them and never know if they will even arrive at their intended destination. You can fill out a contact form to start the conversation about a possible donation.
Can you donate items to our raffle/silent auction, etc. for our US conference?
It depends. I can sometimes donate to these causes, but again, I can only afford to donate a few things a year. Requests are handled on a first-come-first served basis. Drop me an email to start this conversation.
There is a problem with my book (such as a binding issue or missing pages), what now?
I will do my best to make it right. Please visit the returns and exchanges page for complete information.
I am having problems downloading an eproduct, what should I do?
If you have any sort of problem downloading ebooks or other files from the shopping cart, notify me at once. It will be most helpful to know what steps you took to obtain the download and what, if any, error messages you received. I will call my shopping cart technical support department to see if we can figure out what the problem is and to make sure it isn't a bug. If the problem persists, I will send you the file by an alternate route. Don't worry, you will get your ebook one way or the other!
YIKES! My eproduct download links have either expired or none of them worked. Now what?
Never fear. I have a solution. Just contact me and I will send you instructions to establish a new download link.
