Most orders are shipped from my warehouse in Chelsea, Michigan.

Orders for physical items that weigh 15 pounds or less ship via UPS mail innovations for free to any US address (PO Boxes too!)  Here is how it works:

*UPS will handle your order from my warehouse
   in Michigan to your local post office.  The post
   office will deliver to your door.
*Transit time is 2 to 5 days, depending upon your
   location.
*Monday through Saturday delivery.
*A postal service tracking number will be assigned
   to your order which will provide detailed tracking
                                                                                                             updates via the UPS and/or the USPS website.
                                                                                             
Any order exceeding 15 pounds and all orders sent from my office in Oregon will be shipped using media mail with the US Post Office.  Door-to-door tracking is provided.  Transit time averages 5 to 14 days, depending on your location.

SEVERE WEATHER EVENTS:  Current or pending severe weather events expected in your area may impact when I ship your order.  If I am concerned about the weather, I will contact you to let you know.

TIME-TO-SHIP WINDOW:  Once the Michigan warehouse receives your order, the shipping processing window is 2 business days.  In most cases, this processing window begins on the next business day after you receive the email from me notifying you that your order is being processed.
      If I am shipping from my office in Oregon, I can usually get your order out the day I receive it or the very next business day.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

If you are thinking of ordering books for international delivery, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST.

I AM NOW ONLY SHIPPING TO USA ADDRESSES.

    As you are probably aware, international shipping is very expensive.  If you want to order from me, I highly recommend ebooks, which you will be able to download immediately without worrying about shipping costs.  If you feel you must have physical books, please go to www.MyUS.com and open an account with them BEFORE YOU PLACE AN ORDER HERE.  MyUS is a freight-forwarding service in Florida that ships all over the world for less than I can offer from my warehouse.   Until recently, I managed shipping for international customers through MyUS.  However, they recently changed their policy and now I cannot guarantee exactly what method of shipping they will use to send an order.  What I do know is that it will almost certainly be less expensive than anything I can offer you from my warehouse.
    International orders are significantly more expensive for me to process for several reasons, and I bear those additional costs in order to make sure my customers are served.  But I cannot sustain covering international shipping when I cannot absolutely predict the cost in advance.  I have complained to MyUS about this but, so far, that hasn’t gotten me anywhere.
    MyUS has overall been great to work with.  I am hoping they will return to allowing us to choose “least expensive” as a shipping option.   In the meantime, if you want physical books, I need you to open your own account (it doesn’t even cost anything, you have the option of a free account or a premium account, which does have a monthly cost).    When you open your account you will be given a MyUS mailing address in Florida to which any orders you wish to place in the US can be shipped and forwarded on to you.  When you place your order with me you will give me your MyUS address and I will ship to them and they will forward your order to you at the international address you give them in your account.  You will give them a method of payment in your account and pay them directly for your international shipping charges.

EXPORT PACKING:  I will ship your order to MyUS for free.  I can have my warehouse export pack your order (this means it will be double boxed) at no additional cost to you.  Note that export packing does make the package heavier, but it is more protective for the books.  If you DO NOT want export packing (because it could make shipping more expensive), you should include a note on your order to let me know.

MyUS is in Sarasota, Florida.  These are the advantages:

*Excellent rates--Shipping internationally is very expensive.  Using myUS.com saves up to 80% in shipping costs.  (If you frequently buy things from US vendors, you can save on shipping all your US purchases.  There is also a paid premium account with more features.)

*Better pricing--Since my books are heavy and costs to ship to different countries vary quite a bit, it makes sense to get the best price possible.

*Door-to-door tracking--The US post office does not offer this service consistently for international shipping and this is a big advantage of using MyUS.

 *Timely delivery--The freight service ships your parcel shortly after it arrives in Florida.   Once it is shipped internationally, it gets to you pretty quickly, usually within 5 to 7 days, depending on your location.

International Shipping with MyUS: step-by-step

If you choose to proceed with your order, I will send it from my warehouse in Michigan to the MyUS warehouse in Florida.  I cover the cost of shipping within the US (just like I do with all US orders.)   Once your order leaves the warehouse in Michigan, it cannot be cancelled.

Once your order leaves my warehouse, it will take about 7 days to get to the MyUS.com warehouse in Florida.

I will send you the tracking number for your order.

Once your order arrives in Florida, MyUS.com will determine the final cost of shipping based on the actual weight of your parcel as well as any import fees that must be prepaid.  They will usually ship your parcel within 1 to 3 business days after it arrives there.

IMPORT FEES:  After your order is received and processed by MyUS, depending on where it is going and the value of the items, they may require that you prepay import costs (customs, VAT, etc.).  These will be charged to your account along with the shipping costs.    If prepayment of import fees is not required, any import fees will need to be paid by you once your parcel arrives in your country.
